Aqa Reza Akasbashi

b. 1843, d. 1884, | The son of Mirza Ismail Jadid ol

Islam, was the first Iranian professional photographer who learned

photography from the French photographer, Francis Carlhian.

Aqa Reza was nicknamed as “the photographer” in 1863. He was

later called “special aide-de-camp” and “Iqbal- o -Saltana”
